The St. Paul Pioneer Press, a Knight Ridder newspaper, has an opening for a copy editor / page designer on our Presentation Hub. Individuals in this role edit and format copy, write headlines, cutlines and other display materials, and design news pages. You must be able to produce clean copy and write smart, accurate display type. You must show an ability to design news pages that show a clear order to stories and put readers first. You must be able to work with a variety of reporters, editors and presentation colleages to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy and fairness.

We require a college degree and at least one year of editing experience at a daily newspaper. Experience in Microsoft Word and QuarkXPress are a plus.

This position will involve night and weekend hours.
