GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Successful candidate will organize, lead and manage Dade Moeller’s corporate HR department in a manner that effectively supports the company’s business and organizational goals in addition to ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal HR requirements. Dade Moeller’s HR Department plays a key role in the advancement of company culture and values while enhancing overall organizational effectiveness.  This individual will be required to understand Dade Moeller’s business plans and objectives, develop and articulate the vision for HR systems that align with those objectives, translate that vision into robust functional specifications, and develop detailed plans to acquire, implement and maintain the necessary resources. 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing vision, leadership, and management to the HR Department including guidance, direction, and mentorship to employees
  • Leading recruiting and staffing efforts
  • Leading employee on-boarding, development, needs assessment, and organizational training
  • Ensuring that HR activities are planned, prioritized, managed, and executed in a timely and professional manner
  • Interacting with company managers on a daily basis to understand HR issues and work with team to provide competent, timely, and effective solutions
  • Leading compliance with regulatory concerns
  • Developing and leading compensation structure
  • Monitor, maintain and administer benefits package; including but not limited to 401k, ESOP, medical/dental insurance, life insurance, cafeteria plan.
  • Ensuring HR policies and systems are actively maintained, efficient, and kept current
  • Leading performance management and improvement systems
  • Effectively communicating and training employees on HR system changes, enhancements / new systems
  • Identifying trends in the market so that HR systems are current, develop / establish new policies
  • Monitoring trends to identify and prevent issues
  • Organizing and leading team meetings
  • Keeping team motivated and helping them achieve personal and Company goals
  • Establishing and managing to a budget for the Department
  • Other duties as assigned.

 KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelors degree required

·         Masters degree in human resources or business desired

·         Professional HR certification required; minimum PHR; SPHR or GPHR preferred

·         Demonstrated experience managing a department with 4 or more employees

Effective communication, both written and oral

·         Proven ability to establish and implement departmental goals and objectives

·         Ability to travel to other Company and client offices

·         Excellent presentation, teambuilding and leadership skills

·         Proven ability to affect and manage change

·         Proven ability to perform in complex cross-functional business environment

·         Proven management and delegation ability

·         Motivational and visionary leadership skills, including the ability to recognize and develop emerging talent 

·         Proven ability to work and reason with internal and external clients 

·         Proven ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects

Proven ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings

Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.  Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening hours.
